April 15, 20216:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Halie Parker, Hannah Schwartz, and Janice F. Jorgensen will be offering a 30-minute zoom call on April 15 to go deeper into what a Sitspot is, the lineage of the practice, and how we can all participate in the challenge together.
We are inviting anyone interested into a challenge to do a “Sitspot” every day, for 30 days in a row! A sitspot is a 20-minute practice of sitting outdoors and focusing on what is going on around you: the birds, the plants, the insects, the soil, the wind – all of it! You can choose to sit on your porch, in the woods, in a park – anywhere that you feel safe and comfortable to settle in for a bit. The idea of a sitspot is to widen your awareness and deepen your understanding of the natural world, and you as a part of it; how are you impacting it, and how is it impacting you? What happens when you slow down and take the time to notice what is going on?
