Costa Rica has an area only slightly bigger than Vermont & New Hampshire combined, yet it is home to over 900 different bird species. Its climate is equally amazing in its diversity, covering 8 different biomes from tropical rainforest to polar tundra. Join Chris Fisher for this Zoom-only program combining photographs of many bird species and scenery from two separate trips to Costa Rica, one in 2009 and the other in 2014.
Chris Fisher is a retired physics teacher who has been practicing photography for almost 50 years. He is a longtime member of the Simsbury Camera Club in Simsbury, CT and a member of Hartford Audubon. He also was a professional wedding photographer for many years. Since retiring, he and his wife Diane have traveled extensively both in the United States and abroad. This is when he does most of his photography. He particularly enjoys creating multimedia shows to share these images with others. He presented his popular “Images of Southern Africa” to our club in March 2017. Chris was scheduled to present “Journey to the Edge of the Earth: The Galapagos Islands” to us in June 2020; that program was postponed due to COVID-19, and will be rescheduled after we can resume meeting in person.
