Meetings and programs are presented on the second Tuesday of each month from September through June, unless otherwise advertised. Both are free and open to all.
There is a general club meeting beginning at 7:15 p.m., featuring recounts of recent field trips, notice of upcoming trips and programs, discussion of noteworthy bird sightings, reports from club officers, and other business. This is followed by the invited speaker presenting the program for the month.
As of 2022, we plan to hold meetings at Wesley United Methodist Church, 98 North Maple Street, Hadley, for the months of October, November, and March through May. There is ample parking, and interesting birds have been sighted from the parking lot (we take this as a good sign). From December through February we will have remote (Zoom) meetings in accommodation of the more difficult driving conditions and higher disease transmission rates during the winter months. In September and June we plan to enjoy the extra hours of daylight by having picnics at Mass Audubon’s Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in lieu of our typical indoor meetings.
