Join Bill Randolph and Laura “LC” LeClair for an exploration of the Amherst portion of the Norwottuck Rail Trail. We’ll be taking a slow trip through diverse habitat for approximately 1 mile round trip, where we’ll have an opportunity to view early migrants to the area, as well as Belted Kingfishers, Green Herons, waterfowl, hawks, and other raptors. The trail is wide, paved, and fairly level, with frequent bicycle traffic. There is one stone bench without arm rests on the trail, picnic tables at the trailhead, but no other seating areas. We’ll meet at the parking area on Station Road, which has ample parking, including two van-accessible parking spots at the entrance, as well as an accessible porta-potty. Questions? Email Bill at warandolph@comcast.net. Register online. (E, A)
